Online, ideas and styles can mix, and change to ultimately form the next evolution of modern music.

I definitely can see a change in music going international thanks to the internet. I'm hearing stuff that I'd never have been able to get my hands on before youtube came on the scene. The best part about video sharing sites is that you don't even have to download it to enjoy it!

Yes, it is great for Jazz to be getting some exposure. Jazz and wherever it is happening has been the ground zero for creativity in this country for decades. And, as the article points out, where it is now happening is the virtual world, as realized by DigitalFuntown. And the exciting new grooves certainly aren't limited to music now, as ever.
No matter how bleak a situation, there is always a bright side somewhere to be found. And more often than not, that bright side can be found in music.
